Santa Rosa’s melons are packed under the strictest food safety guidelines. We have a stainless steel packing line for use on any specialty boxes. The fruit is placed on a food grade belt, and then runs through chlorinated water. The water is carefully monitored and then the information can be downloaded onto a computer.
